Our Mission

To enhance the health
of the people of the
region by providing
accessible,
cost effective, quality
health services.

Our Vision
RAHH will lead the
region’s healthcare
system by engaging
consumers, communities,
physicians and other
professionals in
improving health and
quality of life.
RAHH will be seen
as “ours” by the
communities it serves,
by the consumers
and families it provides
care to, by the people it
employs and by the
physicians who provide
care here.

To achieve this
vision,
RAHH will:

Maintain and strengthen
confidence and pride
in RAHH by consistently
demonstrating the
quality of care that
patients, residents,
and clients expect.

Be flexible, accessible,
friendly and quality-driven
so that people of the
area choose RAHH.

Encourage the
community to play
a role in its
development so that
consumers, providers,
and the people of the
region remain central
to RAHH’s planning
and governance.

Key Values
We actively
look to the future.

We treat all with integrity
and respect, and
approach all we serve
as partners.

We foster the personal
growth of our employees,
physicians, and
other professionals.

We measure the results
of our work and
continuously improve
the quality of our
services on the basis
of that measurement.

We respect and nurture
the relationship between
providers and patients.

We provide cost-effective
healthcare services that
meet the needs and
exceed the expectations
of consumers.

We work closely
with physicians
to develop and sustain
mutually supportive
relationships that
effectively address
the health needs
of the community.

Upcoming “Go Red” event to benefit Health Care Fund

Left: Local artist Marv Espe shows off an original painting to be auctioned off at the “Partners for Health” dinner event this fall. Right: Several artists like Mary Hayes and Mavis Wahlberg will donate original paintings and other fine art pieces at the “Partners for Health” event. Proceeds will benefit the Roseau Area Hospital and Homes Health Care Fund.

Recently Roseau Area Hospital and Homes kicked off its “Go Red” campaign for women’s heart health. The purpose of this program is to help educate women of all ages on healthy heart lifestyles.

As an extension of this highly successful campaign, the RAHH Health Care Fund Advisory Committee is planning a special event to raise funds for the Health Care Fund using the “Go Red” theme.

A formal event entitled “Partners for Health: A Go Red Event” is scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the brand new Roseau City Center.

In addition to special entertainment and an incredible dinner prepared by the Twins Corner Cafe of Badger, area artists including Marv Espe, Julie Elick, Frances Karlsson, Sandy Flagstad, Judy Magnusson, Mary Vatnsdal, Jean Honl, and many others from throughout the county have been invited to donate pieces for auction at the event.

Proceeds from the auction, dinner, and other community efforts will help to build the RAHH Health Care Fund.

Only a limited number of tickets will be available for this first-class event. Information on how you can purchase tickets will be available as the event draws closer.

For more information about the “Partners for Health” Go Red event, or to make a contribution to the Health Care Fund, contact Deb Haugen or Milly Prachar at (218) 463-2500.

Donating to the Health Care Fund

Through philanthropic gifts, the Roseau Area Hospital and Homes Health Care Fund has benefited from the generosity of neighbors and supporters of our local health care system.

Below is a list of patrons who have donated to the RAHH Health Care Fund. Their donations have been designated for special funds based on each donor’s wishes.

The current list of special funds includes the RAHH Hospice Fund, Sheltering Oaks Manor Fund, Maggie Adams Medical Equipment Fund, Greenbush Nursing Home Fund, and a general endowment fund. We offer a special “Thank You” to these donors for their contributions and invite you to join this growing list of people who will make a difference in the future of local healthcare.

Grants to be awarded

The Health Care Advisory Committee proudly announces the first grants from proceeds to the Health Care Fund will be awarded this fall. Grants will be awarded to health care related projects and services that benefit residents and visitors to the Roseau Area Hospital & Homes service area.
